People of Color in Business Movie Night

Are you looking to celebrate the Halloween season? People of Color in Business invites all business students of color to join them for a horror movie watch party in Austin Hall! The club will be providing candy and pizza for everyone, for a fun night to play games, watch a movie, and meet new people!

The Spooky Scavenger hunt will allow you to explore a section of OSU’s campus through a spooky clue list. At each location, you will find sweet treats! And they also have other interesting activity in this event!

Identifying and Adapting to Climate Change as a Modifiable Risk for Chronic Disease
Fri., Nov. 5 | 1 – 2 p.m.
Interested in learning how climate change affects public health? Come listen to this presentation by Perry Hystad, who's an environmental epidemiologist focused on understanding the health impacts related to place. A large portion of his research uses spatial exposure assessment methods to determine the chronic health effects associated with exposure to air pollution, including cardiovascular and respiratory diseases and cancer.

Hike @ Alsea Falls
Thurs., Nov. 11 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Join Nick, a member of our Student Engagement Team, on a hike to Alsea Falls and Green Peak Falls! This easy hike is approximately 2.5 miles and goes through old growth forest to two beautiful waterfalls. Transportation to and from is provided. Bring good hiking shoes, a rain jacket, water, and snacks!

DamChic Fall Launch Party

DamChic holds a Fall Launch Party every year highlighting local artists and designers. It is a fun-filled night highlighting a fashion show, live performance, vendors, and more! Students are welcome to come watch the runway, listen to some good music, and meet new people with similar interests.

Do you love plants, or want to learn more about ecosystems and the environment? University of Washington's Soo-Hyung Kim will be presenting here about cherry blossoms, and how plants react to different climates and seasonal changes. Soo-Hyung is also a resident faculty at the UW Botanic Gardens in Seattle, studying plants response to their environment.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. We will have a short talk followed by discussion and Q&A.
